Tell us what is missing

Ideas from customers are where a good part of the roadmap comes from. Send yours - it goes to the people who would build it, and you get an answer either way.

What happens next

After you press send

No black hole. Here is the actual path a submission takes.

  1. Somebody who builds it reads it

Requests are not sorted by a bot or counted as votes. They are read by the people deciding what to work on next.

  2. We work out what you are really after

Often the request is a solution and the interesting part is the problem underneath it. Sometimes there is already a way to do it, and then you get told how.

  3. The good ones end up on the roadmap

Several items on the public roadmap started as a message through this form. You will hear back either way, including when the answer is no.

Writing a good one

What helps us build the right thing

A one-line idea is welcome. If you have more to say, these are the things that actually change what gets built.

  • Describe the problem, not just the fix

What are you trying to get done, and what is in the way? A request framed as a problem often gets solved better than the specific feature you had in mind.

  • Tell us how often it bites

Once a quarter and once a day are different products. Frequency is one of the few things that reliably moves something up the list.

  • How you work around it now

The workaround tells us what the feature has to beat, and occasionally it tells us the platform already does this and the discoverability is the actual bug.

  • Small is fine

A checkbox in the right place, a column in a table, a confirmation that should not be there. Small requests get built quickly precisely because they are small.

Send an idea

What should we build?

The last field is optional and it is the most useful one - it is where the reasoning goes.

You will hear back by email. If it is already possible today, you will get told how rather than being left waiting for it to be built.

Wrong form?

These might be what you meant

Phishing, malware, spam or copyright on something we host.

  • Report a bug

Something in the panel that does not work the way it should.
